Unique Split Shank Side Solitaire Side Stone Engagement Ring

Perhaps the best unique engagement ring is one that cannot be easily described, categorized or commonly seen being worn by other people. The very notion of unique engagement rings commonly stems from an underlying desire to be different, to stand out and earn the spotlight. And many of our buyers derive a great deal of pleasure from wearing a diamond engagement ring that can only be described with one word, "wow".

It is not surprising that the concept of producing a unique diamond engagement ring design sounds obscure to many of our patrons. And when you think about creating a unique diamond setting, where do you begin? Do you start from a blank engagement ring setting and build out the design? Or do you start with a standard or mainstream diamond engagement ring, and modify the design characteristics to create a one-of-a-kind design? The answer is, all of the above!

In some situations, it is best to start from scratch, with a clean slate, and create a diamond engagement ring that simply does not conform to any norms, styles or categories. In this case, however, we started with a simple, classic split shank diamond engagement ring with round cut side stones, which converge on a round brilliant center diamond. Up until this point, the diamond setting was classy but not extravagant, elegant but not extraordinary. Next, we added a cross band, overlapping the split shank, and lined the cross band with more side stone diamonds. At this point we achieved asymmetry, and added brilliance to the design in the way of 32 additional round cut diamonds. Now, we are talking!

The end result is that many of our customers fell in love with this engagement ring. For some, the well defined asymmetry is a breath of fresh air, adding a much needed lack of predictability. For others, there is no viable explanation - "this diamond engagement ring just looks good", is what many have said. Regardless of what the reasons are, unique engagement rings are considered unique for good reason. They stand out, do not easily conform and are simply pleasant to look at.
