Our Approach

At Encore DT we treat every product we sell as your prized possession.  We hand-select only the most optimally cut stones, purchase gold from accredited European mining companies and handcraft every piece of jewelry to perfection.  Let's address each of these topics in more detail.

Diamond Cut

To make an illustration of the most optimal cut, we will use the following engagement ring from DT Collezioni, item # BOANBA7A. This four-prong designer ring features a beautiful, 0.2 ct VS round diamond with colorless E/F quality. And the image next to it shows a lateral close-up shot of this diamond.

Color, Clarity and Carat Weight

The triangular shapes you are seeing are commonly referred to as facets, or the smooth surface areas of the diamond where the cut, polishing and positioning take place.  If you shine a light through this diamond, the reflection and refraction of the light are determined by the depth, width and uniformity of the facets, which in turn control this diamond's luster (its ability to disperse light and sparkle).  These are ultimately the factors that contribute to this diamond's Very Good Cut rating and E/F quality, or virtually colorless.  The number and area of the facets determine the total carat weight (tcw) of the diamond, where 1 carat = 200 milligrams (mg).

So, let's review the four Cs

Cut - Very Good

Color - E/F

Clarity - VS (also referred to as VS1)

Carat Weight - 0.2 ct or 40 milligrams
